The President of CIPA is responsible for leading the commission, convening meetings, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They also represent CIPA in external matters. The Vice-President of CIPA assists the President in their duties and takes over in the President's absence. They also play a key role in inspecting the workplace and reporting any hazards.

a. Ensure that CIPA has the necessary conditions to carry out its work;

b. coordinate and supervise CIPA's activities, ensuring that the proposed objectives are achieved;

c. delegate responsibilities to CIPA members;

d. promote the relationship between the CIPA and the SESMT, when applicable;

e. disclose CIPA's decisions to all establishment workers;

f. forward requests for reconsideration of CIPA decisions;

g. constitute the electoral commission.
